Your body told you to do it? Uh huh!

In learning how to blog, I am utilizing Blogging Fundamentals. I do not use them in the order they are emailed to me. I tend to pick and choose what resonates with me at that moment (which is part of my intuitive living)

Today, I chose … “Publish a Post Inspired by a Writing Prompt”.

Step 1:

First visit our Daily Post site and check out today’s prompt — it’s in the dark blue box on the right.

I clicked the link, went to Daily Post and discovered there was no ‘dark blue box on the right’. I scrolled up and down that page. There was no ‘Dark Blue Box’ anywhere!!!!

I started to get frustrated.  Could feel my heart beat rising.  A tinge of tension began to surface.

And those are my cues or my triggers, to take a deep breath, and walk away. Go distract myself. Do something totally different; listen to music, go for a walk, call a friend….. just forget about it…. let it go. (that too is part of my intuitive living … knowing my triggers and dealing with them)

You see, there was a time in my life when I would have been spitting, spewing and sputtering about the incompetency of companies that can’t update properly, blah, blah, blah … and I’d get an ugly ‘attitude’. My heart would be racing faster, as I got more angry at those …

Well looky there! Grrr Tree. Isn’t he something else? Did you know, some of my best friends are trees? I took his picture a couple years ago, in northwestern Michigan. His expression reminds me of how I was just feeling, in regards to ‘incompetent companies’.

I do not like that angry, bitter feeling. Imagine not many of us do like it, whether we admit it or not.

During my intuitive living, you might say, I have ‘rewired’ my ways or my behaviors. I am ‘mindful’ of what my ‘triggers’ are. I am aware of how I am ‘feeling’. I ‘listen’ to my body. And when something hurts my heart, I stop, step away and take a deep breath (or three). I will find something to smile about to help ‘raise my spirits’ and then go find the “path of least resistance”.

Which in this case, was….

…. to look to the top of the page

And that concludes my “Day Eleven : Make a Prompt Personal”, post … … although, this is not actually my 11th Day. However, it is Now, no matter when you read this.

  1. I laugh in spite of myself. I used to do the outrageous rage thing myself and of course I now do the count to ten thing … it usually works. I really like this post because i am doing the same thing with my blogging fundamentals emails …just taking my time and doing them at random.
